miss sick and mr. grumpy

Adeline has RSV.  And a sinus infection.  She's pretty miserable.  Under our belt already : three trips to the doctor, one blood test, one RSV test, one round of chest/sinus x-rays, 5 days worth of Omnicef and Albuterol nebulizer treatments, a shot of Rocephin in each leg, and one 4.5 hour nap.  Poor child.

She's actually feeling much better today and I think (hope) we are on the upswing.  Our doctor let us skip out on the second round of Rocephin shots at our visit this afternoon.  He said since we agree that she is doing at least 50% better today, we could wait and see if the oral antibiotic will keep her moving in the right direction.  If she takes a turn for the worse, we'll be back at the doctor's office for the Rocephin shots.  Dr. Caldwell says that he has seen teenage boys tear up from the Rocephin shots.... they are really painful.  We're crossing our fingers that she doesn't have to get another one!

This is her doing an art project today. She still looks a little out of it, don't you agree?

Hayes is teething.  He's pretty grumpy.  And this is the only place he will take a decent nap:

Oh well. Keeping him close is probably a good thing... I feel like he's a little more protected from Adeline's germs when he's snuggled up close to me. I am hoping and praying that he does not get RSV!

Here's a picture of his little snaggle tooth. The other bottom tooth still hasn't broken through. It still feels like there is quite a bit of gum for it to cut through, but his gum is swollen up almost as big as the tooth that already came through. It looks painful.

No more, mom... it's sensitive in there.

Paige.,
Wow, that picture looks so much like you did when you were little. A little brighter red in the hair and it may be a perfect match

I hope your kiddos get feeling better soon and that Adeline doesn't have to have the shots again. Poor little ones... and mom!
