halloween and a missing camera

We had great fun this year for Halloween, but you wouldn't know it by the pictures.  I have none.  Scratch that, I have a few... that my friends graciously gave me.  I lost my stinkin' camera two weeks ago when we were in Denison at a wedding.  Not that it's ever a good time to lose a camera, but Hayes is changing so much every day and I have no camera to capture it!  Luckily, a gracious friend with a surplus of cameras has offered to let me borrow hers until we either find ours (which would be miraculous) or buy a new one.  I just hope I can get to her before she goes into labor!

So, back to Halloween.

We did a pumpkin patch play group a few weeks ago (I still had my camera at this point, but Heather's pictures are sooo much better!)...

Then we had a costume playgroup the Wednesday before Halloween...

On Halloween we met up with some friends at a festival in Round Rock (sorry, no pictures) and in the evening we went to a festival at a church close to our house.  We walked there and trick-or-treated along the way.  Again, no pictures, but I do have some video.  I don't have the time to edit it down to something that the general public would enjoy, so you'll have to take my word for it that it was darn cute!

For the record, Adeline was the most adorable little chicken you've ever seen and Hayes had 3 costumes.  He was a chili pepper at the costume playgroup, then an old man at the Round Rock festival, and we had run out of steam on dressing him up by the time trick-or-treating rolled around (plus it was way too hot for the chili pepper costume) , so he just wore his "Mr. Happy" shirt and went as a happy baby.
