Halloween was great fun this year, except that it ended in an urgent care clinic visit for Hayes. When we were at the neighborhood Halloween festival, he jumped off a slide inside on of those huge jumpy things, landed wrong on his arm, and ended up with nursemaid's elbow. It's where a little ligament in the elbow slips out of alignment and has to be set back into place by a doctor. When it happens it almost seems like a broken arm since the kid screams like crazy if you try to move his arm at all. It has happened with Adeline and Claire each one time so we were pretty sure it was just that and not broken, but they did a couple of xrays to be sure before the doctor set it back in. Poor thing missed out on all the trick-or-treating. Luckily MyMaw and Cynthia took the big girls around the neighborhood and they got so much candy that they were more than happy to share with him. Sharing your hard earned Halloween candy... now that's love. Sweet girls.
