Now we can have a Merry Christmas!

My mom bought a Christmas tree for us to put up and supplies for the kids to make Christmas ornaments before she headed back home last week. We decided to put it up tonight. The kids were all so excited to have a Christmas tree here at "The Colorado House". As Natalie got the tree out of the box the kids started planning where to put it, what kind of decorations in needed, they got an extension cord in case the lights didn't reach the plug, they found some boxes that could serve as "presents" to set under the tree. They were seriously excited. During all this commotion, Abigail said the sweetest thing. As the tree came out of the box she screamed in excitement, "Now we can have a Merry Christmas!". It was so adorable, really heartfelt. She really had the whole Christmas spirit thing nailed... family, love, togetherness, celebrating together around a Christmas tree.

I took a video of the kids after the tree was up (pre-decorations) to send to Grammy and Papa to say thanks for the tree. By that point, Abigail had re-thought her perspective on what the Christmas tree meant. You'll see what I mean. Kids, you gotta love 'em!! :)

Fresh from the box... about to go up

And the finished product

Thanks for the tree and Merry Christmas, Gee-gee and Papa!!
