3 times in one week

Well, we are headed back to the doctor again tomorrow. We were there on Thursday and got the ear infection diagnosis. Then back on Monday for her 9 month "well(ish)" baby exam and a check up on her ear infection. The ear infection was gone, so we quit the antibiotics. She still had a lot of congestion, but Dr. C. just told us to keep torturing her with the saline and nasal aspirator. We got her official 9 month height & weight check. She slimmed down a bit while she was sick. On Thursday she weighed 20 lbs 14 oz, but by Monday she had lost 7 oz and weighed in at 20 lbs 7 oz. That put her in the 75th percentile. I think if she hadn't gotten sick she'd be hovering in the 90s. She's 26.75" tall which is the 20th percentile. She's still such a shorty. Addie, you have your grandmas to that for that. Head circumference is 45cm, 75th percentile.

So with the ear infection taken care of I thought we'd be done with the doctors visits for a while. Oh no... Addie loves that Dr. C. so much that she somehow managed to get a huge rash over her entire torso so she could go see him again. It doesn't seem to be bothering her and she doesn't have a fever, but the nurse still thought we'd better bring her in for them to take a look.

On top of that, we'll have to go back as soon as she's really "well" to have her flu vaccine, then a month later to have the second round flu vaccine. Then of course there is the 12 month well baby exam plus any sicknesses in between. I swear this kid is going to bankrupt us on co-pays alone! On the up side, at this rate they may dedicate an exam room to us or something. That could be cool.

For now she's sleeping peacefully (in her bouncer seat since she's still quite snotty). Sweet dreams, Adeline. We'll get that rash taken care of tomorrow.
