toothless

... and what a great story she has to tell about it.

This is Claire at the beginning of our afternoon on the lake last weekend :

Then she rode the ski rocket. And this is how she looked when she finished her ride :

Both teeth where lost at sea. The rest of us thought the whole thing was quite exciting and pretty much hilarious. But Claire took a little while to come to terms with it all. She was very concerned about missing out on the $2 that the tooth fairy brings for each tooth. Once she confirmed that she would still get paid for her teeth, she came around. She is currently settling into her new life without front teeth. She's learning how to eat without her biting teeth, sipping through straws without opening her mouth, making the most adorable lispy "s" sounds, and all the other wonderful toothless things.

And just because it's hilarious, this is what Robert looked like after using the kids sunscreen stick on his face. He stayed this way all afternoon, putting on mime performances periodically. Back off, ladies. He's mine.
