Friday night Adeline and I had this conversation :
addie : Mama, sometimes I feel homesick.
me : Yeah? When you are away from home for very long you start to feel homesick?
addie : Yeah.
me : Well, it's a good thing you don't go far away very often. Especially without Mama and Dada.
addie : Yeah, but when I'm five I will go far, far away without you.
me : Oh really? Where are you going to go?
addie : Nepal.
In case you are wondering, Nepal is where Toot and Puddle go in Toot and Puddle Top of the World (which we currently have checked out from the library). If she really does go there when she's five, I hope she takes me with her. I've never been.
